Photo Documentary Project
Students!!! You will create photo documentaries within Microsoft PowerPoint, later to be converted to photo stories, that highlight the events explained in Chapter 23, The Coming of War, found on pages 779-795. Presentations should be 3-7 slides per topic with AT LEAST 1 image per slide. If you are NOT in class to complete this project, wait for the class videos to be posted on Friday. Topics will include:
1. Blitzkrieg (780-781)
2. Axis Powers (781-782)
3. Winston Churchill (782)
4. Neutrality/Isolation (783-785)
5. Lend-Lease Act (785-786)
6. Atlantic Charter (786)
7. Hideki Tojo (788-789)
8. Pearl Harbor (789-790)
9. WAC – Women’s Army Corps (791-793)
10. Douglas MacArthur (793)
11. Bataan Death March (793-794)
12. Battle of Coral Sea (794-795)
Students will access the internet to find additional facts, information, and photographs to support and expand upon the information found within the textbook. Photos can be obtained from any reliable source such as the Library of Congress digital collection. These PowerPoint presentations will be combined in Photostory 3/Windows Movie Maker/iMovie to create one fluid story. Students will upload PowerPoint presentations to Mr. Holzhauser’s website, holzhauser.weebly.com.
